A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Anna-Marie Bothe

Principal

Our love and sympathy go to the Bromilow family on the passing of Indi’s mother, Marita Salburg. It was a blessing to have Marita attend our Grandparents Day Chapel and morning tea so recently. We pray that the Bromilows feel the love and peace God provides.

Student Leadership

What a pleasure it was to hear our Year 5 candidates speak with such confidence, eloquence and authenticity. We are so proud of these students and the references they made about upholding our School Values and qualities on our Learner Profile. All of our students are leaders, regardless of whether they have a specific role or not. Our announcement of our 2026 School and Sports Captains was emailed to families yesterday.

Congratulations to:

School Captain - Meg

School Vice-Captain - Tilly

Mundawadra Sports Captain - Harriet

Buckargingah Sports Captain – Ryan

We pray that these students enjoy developing

their leadership skills in their roles!

Appreciation for Our Volunteers

This week, we held a wine and cheese evening to thank the amazing volunteers who have contributed to our St Paul’s school community this year. We are a small school but made mighty through the collective and individual efforts of parents, families, and friends. Thank you so much for your time, commitment and passion for serving our school to help it thrive!

And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

CHRISTINE'S

CORNER

Here we are heading towards the end of November! Before we know it, it will be the end of the school year!

It was great to be part of the Remembrance Day service last Tuesday. Although it was cold and VERY windy, our small amount of discomfort was nothing compared to what the soldiers have endured.

It was lovely to have Peer Support sessions start up again on Wednesday. All the Year 6 students have the chance to be the teachers and lead a group of students in a fun activity. This will take place for the next 2 Wednesdays as well.

Here is a reminder about some of the events that are coming up before the end of the school year-

Tuesday 25th November

  • Combined Schools Christmas Service at Lutheran Church, 9.30am
  • Parent Orbit Information Session, 2.45pm

Thursday 27th November

  • Water Safety Session for all students, 1.15pm

Wednesday 3rd December

  • Kinder Transition
  • Class Transition (all students move into 2026 classes for the morning session)
  • Year 6 dinner, 6pm

Tuesday 9th December

  • Graduation and Awards Night, 6.30pm

Wednesday 10th December

  • Singing Christmas Carols at Hospital and Myoora
  • End of term 4 for students + Pool Party

Just a friendly reminder that students need a HAT everyday!

Thank you.

MRS BIAR'S CLASS

Last Tuesday the K-2 class did a great job with leading chapel. Although we had no power for the day, we spoke about how we never need to plug God in or recharge Him – he is always full of power!

We enjoyed another Kinder transition on Wednesday, with the theme of Fruit Salad. Of course, we had to make some fruit salad!

It has been so lovely to see our new Kinders slot into school life so easily. They look like they belong! We only have one more Transition session left.

Blessings,

Christine

MRS BASSETT'S CLASS

Blessings,

Mrs Bassett

This week, 3/4 have been doing a math investigation called “Kakadu Crossing.” The focus is to practise our mapping skills as well as identifying and drawing right angles.

We have also enjoyed practising our drawing skills this week in the K-3 class by creating a Mickey Mouse drawing.

MISS H'S CLASS

It has been a big week for students in years 5 and 6 this week!

On Tuesday, our Year 6 students led their final Chapel here at St Paul’s. It was wonderful to have them share a Bible verse that is memorable to them and why. Our message focused on our theme for this term of ‘We are EMPOWERED’ and was based on Matthew 19:13-15 which is a story that reminds us how important CHILDREN are to Jesus and that he welcomes them, listens to them, and loves them just as they are. You don’t have to be big or clever or perfect – just come to Him with your heart open.

Tuesday was also an amazing opportunity for our Year 5 students, as they presented their speeches for School and House captains for 2026. It was inspiring to see our students speak with such confidence and clarity. By weaving our school values into their speeches, students showed both pride in our community and a clear understanding of what those values mean.

Congratulations to Meg, Tilly, Harriet and Ryan on their leadership roles for 2026.

Blessings,

Felicity

SRC ACTIVITIES

BERNIE O'CONNOR CARNIVAL

What a great day students in years 3-6 had last Friday at the annual Bernie O’Connor Football/Netball carnival hosted by Yerong Creek Public School.

Congratulations to our students for showing great sportsmanship and participation throughout the day, and enjoying the opportunity to combine with students from St Joseph’s Culcairn and St Patrick’s Holbrook, displaying our values of being adventurous and relational.

Thank you to Tim (and Simeon), Matt and Jordan, Megan and Emily for coaching/managing our teams on the day.

Special congratulations to our Junior football team for winning the final, and remaining undefeated for the day.

P&F UPDATE

Well the Year of the Big Shed came, we saw it and we conquered it! The 2024 HMFD was a huge success. We had 150 shift spaces to fill and we did it! Thank you to all our families & friends who pitched in over the event. We needed your support and you didn't let us down.

Thanks to our combined effort we raised over $50,000!!

The P&F have decided to contribute $50,000 to be put towards a new playground and outdoor learning space at school, a place current and future students will be able to enjoy for many years to come.

Our first event in 2025 will be our annual Welcome BBQ to be held on Sunday 2nd February. This is always a great day to catch up after the summer break. More details to come in the New Year.
