Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
Thessalonians 5:11
Term 4 has begun with a wide range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. For a school our size, we are so blessed to provide such a range of opportunities for our students!
Parent Information Night
In keeping with this school value, we invite all of our school parents and carers to our Parent Information Night on Tuesday, 3 November in the mainly music from 6:00pm. This will be led by myself and our new 2027 Principal, Mr Joanathan Schmidt, followed by a light supper. It will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Mr Schmidt, the leadership qualities he will bring to our school and information about 2027.
Student Leadership
We always have mixed feelings in Term 4 as we prepare to farewell our Year 6 students and welcome new Year 6 leaders for the following year. This week I had the privilege of taking our current Year 5s through a Leadership Session and was so impressed by their deep thinking and awareness of what makes a great leader. We are working towards Year 5 candidates making School Captain and Sports Captain speeches before staff and students vote on Tuesday 17 November in our School Hall, starting at 10:00am.
Our school value focus for this term is We are Relational. This value sums up St Paul’s, where relationships are central to who we are and how we are to each other.

Welcome back for Term 4! I hope everyone had a wonderful break and is ready for all that lies ahead.
SRC
Congratulations to the students who have been elected to the SRC for Term 4 – Meg, Tilly, Ryan, Harriet, Ty, Shylowe, Skylar and Maeve.
We look forward to the activities that you will be planning and organising for the school community.
Life Education
Last week all the students enjoyed going to visit Healthy Harold in the Life Education van while also learning valuable lessons in health and wellbeing.
Lions’ Spelling Bee
Last Thursday, Meg represented St Paul’s at the Lions’ Spelling Bee, held at Henty Public School.
Congratulations to Meg, who won the event! She only got 3 words wrong for the entire Spelling Bee – awesome work, Meg!
National Teachers’ Day
This Friday is National Teachers’ Day – a time that we can appreciate all the people who teach our children and influence their lives. Thank you to the wonderful teachers and learning coaches that we are blessed to have at St Paul’s. They are all amazing!
Grandparents’ Day Chapel and Morning Tea
Next Tuesday, November 3rd, everyone is warmly welcome to join us for the Grandparents’ Day Chapel and morning tea. Please invite grandparents and significant people along.
School Absences
Please be aware that the NSW government has mandated that students should be attending school 90% of the school term – this would mean only being absent a total of 5 days per term. Of course, if they are unwell, we would encourage students to stay at home, but otherwise their attendance at school is required. I would ask all parents to work together with the school to ensure that this is happening for the benefit of the students and their learning.

The K-2 class have jumped straight back into their learning.
We have had 2 Kinder transitions already this term and have enjoyed looking at Shapes and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The K-3 group had a great time creating a 3D dog in an art activity. Have a look how great they are!
They have also been looking at symbols used in Christianity and their meanings. This also culminated with an art activity.
We are looking forward to leading Grandparents’ Day Chapel next Tuesday (November 3rd). Everyone is welcome to come along and share this special morning with their grandparents or special people.
God's Blessings,
Mrs Biar

On Tuesday, the 3/4 class went to Albury to participate in the NSW Netball Cup. Let's hear about the day from the students!
"We had two teams: St Paul's blue and St Paul's yellow. We played 5 games, our first game was against Walla Walla. We won 7-0. Our second game was against Holbrook. We won 6 to 0. The other games we won against Thurgoona and Trinity, Holy Spirit.
We had lunch break and there was a canteen with lollies and drinks, food like hot dogs and lots of yummy food. Due to the fun we had, I think everyone will play next year in 5/6."
John – St Paul's Blue Team
"We played 5 games; our first game was against St John's that we drew. I played GD and centre. Then we played Trinity, and we lost that game. We played Trinity again in the next game, and we won this game. Then we had a lunch break. After the lunch break, we versed Holy Spirit, we just lost that game. Our last game was against Lavington public school. This game was easily our best game.
It was a lot of fun. I want to thank my mum for taking me there and taking me back. I also want to thank the teachers for letting us have this opportunity."
Abel – St Paul's Yellow Team
It was great to see our students having fun and showing great sportsmanship on the court. It was a great day out for all!
Blessings,
Mrs Bassett

This term our school value is WE ARE RELATIONAL which means that we build positive, respectful, and caring relationships with others. It is about how we treat people and how we work together as a community. Our Year 6 students have planned and will be leading four Peer Support sessions throughout the term.
Wyatt and Harriet’s theme is ‘Building Each Other Up’ which focuses on the power of encouragement and positive words. Students will explore how their words can help others grow in confidence and feel valued.
In Connor and Meg’s group, students will explore the importance of everyday acts of service, recognising that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of others.
James and Tilly’s theme of ‘Everyone Belongs’ focuses on inclusion and welcoming others, reminding students that Jesus welcomed everyone, and we can too.
Ryan, Evie and Tahnee are focusing on collaboration and teamwork, with students learning that we achieve more when we work together.
Blessings,
Miss H

The P&F have already had a busy year and there is MUCH more to come! Thank you to those who attended the meeting on the 4th August, 7pm at St Pauls. Keep an eye out for the minutes for those who couldn't make it.
Our main fundraiser for the year is less than two months away - so all things Henty Machinery Field Days are about to happen. Keep an eye out for roster requests in the next few weeks, and make sure you keep some time free to come join in at the food shed. Start teeing up friends and family too, and don't feel shy to tell them it's the shed with the best food and the best people to work with! Field Days runs from 22-24 September.
