It’s hard to believe this is our last newsletter for Term 3! We’re filled with gratitude for the incredible effort staff, students and families have put into our school life through helping at events, supporting each other and devoting time to our many school activities that celebrate learning.
This week our school families will receive an email with two first draft designs for our new playground so we can gain your feedback. Our staff and students have already provided feedback and this additional input from families will contribute towards considerations to pass onto our designer. The draft designs will also be in our school entrance if you would prefer to give feedback in writing rather than by email.
Thank you to everyone who is going to help at the Henty Machinery Field Days next week on our food stall and enormous thanks go to our P&F for organising this incredible fundraiser again. It’s more than a fundraiser; it brings people together and says a lot about our friendly, giving school culture. We pray that everyone has a safe and enjoyable school holiday once school finishes at the end of next week.
Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

It was lovely to see everyone who came along to see our Art Exhibition on Monday. All students put a lot of effort into their pieces of art, as well as making something that the mainly music children could interact with. Well done!
Our new Kinders had a great morning at school on Wednesday – their first transition session for the year. They had a wonderful time and we look forward to 4 more sessions next term.
We are looking forward to the Henty Field Days next week. It is always so amazing to see how the school community comes together for this event. Thank you to everyone who helps in whatever way. It all helps St Paul’s! I hope all families enjoy their holidays and that everyone remains safe.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday 14th October.
Just a friendly reminder that students need a HAT everyday!
Thank you.
Our school is using the Perspectives: Your school in focus suite of surveys developed by AISNSW to support our school improvement endeavours. The information gathered will assist in furthering the growth and development of our school community. We will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
These surveys have been specifically designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of stakeholders’ perceptions of five important areas: School Environment, Teaching and Learning, Student Wellbeing, Leadership and Community. All staff, students (Years 5 & 6 only), parents/guardians, leaders and board members will be invited to participate.
The surveys will be available from 4th August to 17th August and are conducted online, taking approximately 15 minutes to complete. The survey link will be distributed via email to all from ‘evidence@aisnsw.edu.au’ on behalf of the school.
Your input and contribution are important to the success of our continuous school improvement process as we aspire to improve the learning experience for everyone at our school.
For any enquiries about the surveys please contact the school for more details.

The K-3 have been looking at materials in Science this term. We have been looking at how First Nations and Torres Strait Islander people changed materials such as berries and grains by grinding them and then we practised with chalk.
On Wednesday we welcomed next years’ Kinders to St Paul’s for their first Kinder Transition session. We sang, acted, coloured, created and danced our way through the theme of The Wheels on the Bus. Looking forward to more activities next term!
Blessings for the holidays!
Christine
Year 3/4 have been using the OREO structure to support their persuasive writing. Enjoy reading our reasons why every child should receive a dragon egg for their birthday!
Have a restful holiday and see you all next term,
Miss Ridley
It was great that the 5/6 class were to be able to lead the final Chapel of the term, based on our school value ‘relational’. The students chose the story of David and Jonathan as their focus, which is one of the most powerful examples of loyalty, courage, and friendship in the Bible. Our message was centered around how we can be a great friend by being kind, being loyal and being forgiving and whether you’re playing at recess, working in class, or just hanging out: you can be the kind of friend who makes someone’s day better.
4/5/6 have been learning about Natural Disasters in Geography, and specifically bushfires over the last couple of weeks – identifying and investigating some of the most catastrophic bushfires that have affected Australia. They have also been set the challenge of creating a Bushfire Risk Management Plan for their ‘created’ town, considering risk factors and how to best reduce the risk in the event of a bushfire.
Blessings,
Felicity
What a great day students in years 3-6 had last Friday at the annual Bernie O’Connor Football/Netball carnival hosted by Yerong Creek Public School.
Congratulations to our students for showing great sportsmanship and participation throughout the day, and enjoying the opportunity to combine with students from St Joseph’s Culcairn and St Patrick’s Holbrook, displaying our values of being adventurous and relational.
Thank you to Tim (and Simeon), Matt and Jordan, Megan and Emily for coaching/managing our teams on the day.
Special congratulations to our Junior football team for winning the final, and remaining undefeated for the day.

Well the Year of the Big Shed came, we saw it and we conquered it! The 2024 HMFD was a huge success. We had 150 shift spaces to fill and we did it! Thank you to all our families & friends who pitched in over the event. We needed your support and you didn't let us down.
Thanks to our combined effort we raised over $50,000!!
The P&F have decided to contribute $50,000 to be put towards a new playground and outdoor learning space at school, a place current and future students will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
Our first event in 2025 will be our annual Welcome BBQ to be held on Sunday 2nd February. This is always a great day to catch up after the summer break. More details to come in the New Year.
Next Tuckshop: 8th September
Term 3 holidays are a great time to start thinking about Operation Christmas Child. Once again the P&F have agreed to cover the postage cost for as many gift boxes that our school community is able to organise.
Boxes are available at school. You may like to pack a full shoe box with your family, or you may like to send in individual items and the students will pack the gifts into boxes together at school.
Don't forget the 'wow' items and also be mindful of items that can't be packed. Everything will need to be at school by the first Friday of Term 4 - 17th October
