We are Relational
When people ask me what stands out about St Paul’s, my first answer is always how relational the people are and how welcoming our school is. Then I add my long list about our engaging learning program, facilities, respectful students, positive culture…
In the last fortnight, just a few examples of how we are relational (our focus school value for the term) at St Paul’s have been:
What a privilege it is for all of us to be part of such a warm, caring community that embraces everyone and gives us a strong sense of belonging.
Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

What an amazing job the students did with our Whole School Performance of Fantastic Mr Fox last week!
It was fantastic to see our school value of being relational being played out. Bella stepped into the role of Mrs Fox and I was blown away by the assistance and guidance she received from the other students. Everyone was willing to help her - by telling her where she needed to be, what actions she was doing and making sure she was confident in what she was doing. It was so encouraging to see the students working together to make the best of the situation.
Well done St Paul’s!
It was lovely to see so many dads come along on Tuesday morning for our Father’s Day breakfast and Chapel. Thank you to Matt, Tim and Garry for sharing some pearls of wisdom about being dads.
We hope all dads have a lovely day on Sunday and are spoilt by their children and showered with love!
Just a friendly reminder that students need a HAT everyday!
Thank you.
Our school is using the Perspectives: Your school in focus suite of surveys developed by AISNSW to support our school improvement endeavours. The information gathered will assist in furthering the growth and development of our school community. We will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.
These surveys have been specifically designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of stakeholders’ perceptions of five important areas: School Environment, Teaching and Learning, Student Wellbeing, Leadership and Community. All staff, students (Years 5 & 6 only), parents/guardians, leaders and board members will be invited to participate.
The surveys will be available from 4th August to 17th August and are conducted online, taking approximately 15 minutes to complete. The survey link will be distributed via email to all from ‘evidence@aisnsw.edu.au’ on behalf of the school.
Your input and contribution are important to the success of our continuous school improvement process as we aspire to improve the learning experience for everyone at our school.
For any enquiries about the surveys please contact the school for more details.

We had a great time being involved in the Whole School Performance last week.
It led to some writing on Friday.
On Tuesday the K-2 class led our Father’s Day chapel. Although we only had a few days to practise lines and learn a new song after our Whole School Performance, the students did an awesome job. They spoke clearly and confidently and sang beautifully!
Great job K-2!
K-3 STEM Challenge!
A tiny bug needs a cosy, protective home to hide from the rain and wind. Can you build a bug house that keeps it safe and dry? Create a shelter for a small bug using only natural materials.
This term, our theme in English is ‘Such a Disaster’. We have read a variety of texts about disasters (and many by Jackie French), and have begun to read Bushfire: A Story of Bravery and Survival by Sally Murphy, which is about the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria.
We have been able to make connections in our learning as we are focusing on natural disasters (in particular bushfires and floods) in our Geography lessons. We have researched the worst bushfires in Australia’s recent history.
In Maths, students have completed their investigations ‘Dynamic Dominoes’. They had to create a set of dominoes using fractions, decimals and percentages, using their skills in comparing and ordering fractions, and connecting common percentages to their fraction and decimal equivalents.
It was great to see students put their set of dominoes to the test by playing a game and proving that one end of a selected tile was equivalent to at least three other tile ends.
Blessings,
Felicity
What an incredible journey it's been!
To everyone who played a part in bringing our production to life—thank you from the bottom of my heart.
To our brilliant students: your dedication, preparation, and unforgettable performances were nothing short of inspiring. You should be immensely proud of yourselves.
It was an absolute privilege and joy to work with you all – laughs, memories, and a whole lot of magic that will stay with me for years to come. I couldn’t be prouder of what we created together.

What a great day students in years 3-6 had last Friday at the annual Bernie O’Connor Football/Netball carnival hosted by Yerong Creek Public School.
Congratulations to our students for showing great sportsmanship and participation throughout the day, and enjoying the opportunity to combine with students from St Joseph’s Culcairn and St Patrick’s Holbrook, displaying our values of being adventurous and relational.
Thank you to Tim (and Simeon), Matt and Jordan, Megan and Emily for coaching/managing our teams on the day.
Special congratulations to our Junior football team for winning the final, and remaining undefeated for the day.

Well the Year of the Big Shed came, we saw it and we conquered it! The 2024 HMFD was a huge success. We had 150 shift spaces to fill and we did it! Thank you to all our families & friends who pitched in over the event. We needed your support and you didn't let us down.
Thanks to our combined effort we raised over $50,000!!
The P&F have decided to contribute $50,000 to be put towards a new playground and outdoor learning space at school, a place current and future students will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
Our first event in 2025 will be our annual Welcome BBQ to be held on Sunday 2nd February. This is always a great day to catch up after the summer break. More details to come in the New Year.
